Episode Notes
Joe Dicso, who had been stage manager for almost every SNL episode over the first 21 years, retired after this episode. Disco is standing next to Jim Carrey in the goodnights.

Jim Carrey was not the producers' first choice to host this episode. They asked him after somebody else cancelled.

This is David Spade, David Koechner and Nancy Walls's last episode.

In "Comedy Central's 50 Greatest SNL Episodes", this episode clocks in at #1.

Jim Carrey actually auditioned to be on SNL when it was looking for new castmembers for the 1980-1981 season.
