Episode Notes
Nia Vardolos was originally supposed to host this episode, but she was moved up a week (to November 9th).

One of the bumpers has Brittany Murphy sitting on a box that says "Studio 8H" (which is where SNL is taped).

This is Garrett Morris's first live appearance on SNL since his departure after Season 5.

Adam Sandler appeared with his backing group, the Drei-Dels.

Adam Sandler's performance in this episode became the video for the Hanukah Song Part 3.

The song Adam Sandler sings "Chanukah Song Part 3", was promoting his new animated film "8 Crazy Nights". During the credits of the movie, his EXACT performance from this episode of SNL is heard, complete with the laugh track and applause.

In the "Donahue" sketch, the last part with the town meeting was taped in the same studio as Late Night With Conan O'Brian (studio 6A).

In the SNL rap-off monologue, Chris Parnell mentions four celebrities who have hosted season 27: Winona Ryder, Kirsten Dunst ("Kirsten D."), Cameron Diaz ("Cameron D."), and Sir Ian McKellen (to whom he refers as "Mr.", instead of "Sir" in the line "There's no askin' or tellin' with Mr. Ian McKellen")
