Competition presented by Robert Llewellyn in which two teams of four attempt to invent various machines against the clock from items found in a scrapyard.
Season Two was retitled Scrapheap Challenge and the series made use of a knockout format competition. Cathy Rogers joined Llewellyn as Co-Presenter.
In Season 5 Lisa Rogers replaced Cathy Rogers, and in Season 11 both presenters were replaced by former contestant Dick Strawbridge
