Episode Quotes

Murphy: Daddy needs his feel good juice! Come on baby, I'm sick. (the scorpion stings him) Oh yeah! that's it.. that's what daddy needs.

Bebop Cola Machine: Well hello consumer, yes hello consumer. Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba da baa, Bebop colaaaaa.. yeah!

Cultural References

Murphy: You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.

This line and Murphy's transformation are direct homages to The Incredible Hulk.

Murphy's Dad: Damn it, young Murphy! I'm watching Magnum!

This episode has several references to the Magnum, P.I. episode "Solo Flight." Much like Murphy getting trapped under a soda pop machine, Magnum becomes trapped under the wreckage of an antique fighter plane. Both Captain Murphy and Magnum also experience childhood flashbacks and befriend arachnids.

During the live action scene at the end of the episode, a billboard in space idea is brought up. This may be a reference to "The Knack" episode of Dilbert, where a similar conversion occurs between the marketing team and the Pointy-Haired Boss.
