After ending her relationship with Mr. Big, Carrie dates a member of the New York Yankees. However, when Carrie sees Mr. Big, she realizes that she's not over him. Meanwhile, Miranda becomes annoyed with 'men talkers', Samantha is unsatisfied with her boyfriend's shortcomings, and Charlotte's boyfriend repetitively adjusts himself.
Carrie: (Voiceover) Miranda was a huge fan of the Yankees. I was a huge fan of being anywhere you could smoke and drink at two in the afternoon without judgment.
Charlotte: Oh God, seeing someone for the first time [after you break up] is the worst. You never know how to act.
Carrie: Yeah, and then there's the vomit.
James: And how are the most beautiful women in Manhattan?
Miranda: If I see them, I'll ask.
Charlotte: It takes half the total time you went out with someone to get over them.
Carrie: I always like a good math solution to any love problem.
Miranda: How did it happen that four such smart women have nothing to talk about but boyfriends? It's like seventh grade with bank accounts.
Samantha: Why are we sitting all the way up here?
Carrie: Its the only place I can smoke without Giuliani putting me away for ten years.
Carrie: If Big had any class he would've moved away. I was here first.
Samantha: (as a ball player walks in front of them) Did you see that bulge?
Miranda: Umm, he was wearing a cup.
Samantha: Well honey, his cup runneth over.
