Shameless (US)





Based on the British series of the same name, Shameless is a comedy-drama that revolves around the Chicagoan Gallagher family of six kids who struggle to make ends meet while dealing with their alcoholic, deadbeat father, Frank Gallagher.

With an absent mom and a drunk dad for parents, Fiona took on the responsibility of raising her five younger siblings: Lip, the smartest of the bunch; middle child, Ian, who dreams of joining the military; sweet Debbie, who is responsible beyond her years; second youngest and troublemaker, Carl; and adorable toddler, Liam.

3x12: Survival of the Fittest recap: The scene opens with Frank in jail. He is approached by a man who tells him to turn around as he unbuttons his pants. However, it is revealed that the guy just wants to use the bathroom in the cell. Frank says that this treatment is not fair and says that he needs a drink. Julius, the guy in the cell with Frank, tells Frank that he doesn’t look too well. Frank says that he is fine, but than falls over onto the floor. At the house, Carl squirts Debs in the butt with water and Debs says that it is not fair that Carl has braces and she doesn’t. Debs talks about moving to Michigan and Lip tells her that they aren’t moving there because Jimmy hasn’t been around and that is a good sign. Ian walks downstairs ready for ROTC. He tells everyone that he has drill. Lip follows him outside and asks how things are. Ian says that he is fine and has moved on from Mickey. Debs tries to talk to Fiona about Michigan, but she tells her that it is none of her business. Debs says that it is and reminds her that it was because of her that they have a house and not Fiona. 3x11: Order Room Service recap: The scene opens with Fiona waking up Jimmy. She says that she can make their relationship work and says that they can move to Michigan. Mandy wakes up Lip and says that she wants to get to school early so that she can steal some tatar tots for Mickey’s wedding. Jimmy tells the family that Liam went to the bathroom by himself. Fiona sends him off to the store to pick up some tampons as well, and it is clear that Jimmy is not too happy about that. Lip tells Ian to get up and he says that he is not feeling well. Mandy tells Lip that she needs help setting up for the VFW and Lip says that Sheila and Chody need his help setting everything up for Karen. Ian volunteers regardless of how he feels. Mandy doesn’t understand why Lip has to help Sheila and Chody and Lip says that Karen can’t even walk and that she has frontal lobe damage. 3x10: Civil Wrongs recap: The scene opens with Fiona getting ready for work. Ian’s bruises are healing from his fight with Mickey and Jimmy tells Fiona that he has to tell her something. They go outside and Jimmy tells her that he is going to finish Med School. He says that he will get student loans to pay for it and if it doesn’t work out, he’ll default. She tells him that she likes the idea and goes to work. Frank is at the meeting of the Gay Rights Movement and is introduced to the gay people. Frank reads a pre-written speech, but then talks to the gay members in his own words. It strikes something in them and they cheer for him. Afterwards, Frank tells Abraham, the leader of the movement, that he needs to have his room upgraded and tells him that he is their rainmaker on this. 3x9: Frank the Plumber recap: The scene opens with Jimmy finding a cockroach on his toothbrush. He tells Fiona, who is trying on a skin tight dress, that she can’t wear that to an office job. She gets changed and goes downstairs. She tells Lip that she is going to go to Veronica’s to see what she has. Mandy comes in and says that she forgot a few things that she needs. Lip asks if he should just go to school, but realizes that he has to deal with Mandy. Christopher wakes up and makes Frank breakfast with a bloody Mary. They sit down and Frank’s foot is hurting him. Christopher says that she has a doctor who is Korean and she is great. Frank makes a racist comment about her, but realizes that Christopher works for the city. 3x8: Where There's a Will recap: The scene opens with Patrick holding a service for Aunt Ginger. He says that she was happiest on her corner and that is where her ashes are going to lie. Frank tells Carl that Ginger was a prostitute despite her old age and that she was the best. Patrick dumps her ashes in the street and concludes the service. Fiona and Lip ask Patrick about the house and how it is odd that Ginger signed the house over to Patrick, who she hated. Patrick says that they will talk about this tomorrow.
