yet another display of useless main character killings that i have more than grown tired of. martin was gunned down at the end by what apparently was friendly fire. he was the weakest character, but that is to the fault of the writing, not his abilities. they had just started to give him more of a personality and he was growing on me considerably. i always liked the actor from his days on stargate (sg-1 and the motion picture).
this trend on tv is growing endlessly tired for me. there was no reason for his death other than a weak attempt at a ratings spike. i don't mind when characters die when it is story driven. sometimes you need it further the story and that's fine. here though, martin was killed for no reason as it pertains to the show and that is more sad than his death. |
