A woman dressed in pink is discovered dead in a derelict house, the fourth in a series of odd suicides. Sherlock and John end up trying to solve cryptic clues and have to deal with a lethal killer in their quest to discover the truth.

Sherlock's idea of a trip to the bank is not quite what Watson was thinking of. Strange ciphers are appearing on walls all over the capital and anyone who sees them is dead within just a few hours. Sherlock and Watson need to decipher the deadly symbols before anyone else ends up becoming a victim.

Sherlock finds himself being invited to take on what looks to be an ordinary case. A young civil servant is discovered on a railway line with his head caved in. At first it looks like an open and shut case, but not everything is as it seems. Sherlock finds himself involved in a terrifying game of cat and mouse as a crazed bomber pits his wits against him.

Mycroft convinces Sherlock to recover compromising photographs taken by a dominatrix, Irene Adler. However, Sherlock soon discovers that Irene is his intellectual equal and a battle of wits ensues as he attempts to decipher the code to the camera phone containing the blackmail material.

A young man, Henry Knight, comes to Sherlock and John and asks them to investigate the case of his father's murder at the teeth of a gigantic hound. The case takes the duo to Dartmoor and a military base engaged in secret genetic experiments which may be connected to the death of Henry's father.

Moriarty engineers three of the greatest crimes of the century, but then lets himself be caught. When the jury finds him not guilty on all charges and sets him free, Sherlock realizes that his nemesis is playing for bigger stakes, and that Sherlock's fall is Moriarty's ultimate goal.
