Sidney "Sid" Jenkins, played by Mike Bailey
16-year-old Sidney "Sid" Jenkins is Tony's much-abused best friend. A geeky virgin with no confidence, Sid is constantly manipulated and controlled by his scheming and conniving friend. He is very unlucky and he feels as if his life is in ruins. He is madly in love with Tony's girlfriend, Michelle Richardson. Although she thinks of him as being "sweet," she doesn't have any feelings for him. His simpatico and caring demeanour has won him the affections of the troubled Cassie Ainsworth. However, he is largely oblivious to this as he is easily distracted and spends most of his time thinking of Michelle. In spite of this, he seems to be the only person to truly care about Cassie as well as her largely unsuccessful recovery from her eating disorder. |
