Clips of music videos were featured from the upcoming Metropolis Mix collecton. Including Josh Kelly, and Breaking Benjamin.

Carrie Fisher is listed as Special Appearance By. James Marsters is listed as Special Guest Star.

At one point, Professor Fine tells Clark that "there's no such thing as vampires." This is an in-joke referring to the fact that James Marsters is best known for playing the vampire Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.

John Schneider (Jonathan Kent), Annette O'Toole (Martha Kent), John Glover (Lionel Luthor) and Erica Durance (Lois Lane) do not appear in this episode.

Clark: Costume party?
Chloe: It's the perfect cover for us to get in there and poke around.

Kahn: Well we all have to wake up sometime, don't we, Sullivan?
