A man and his son are fishing in the river, downstream of the Reeves Dam, when the structure shatters. Inside the dam, Lois tries to haul Chloe’s corpse to safety. Lex is locked up in a police car, arrested for the murder of Lana Lang-Luthor.
Reeves Dam bursts wide open and the water sweeps over everyone. Lex is swept downstream in the police car, while the father and son are seconds from destruction.
Clark lands in the woods, having been knocked hundreds of feet away from the dam by his “bizarro” counterpart. The Bizarro’s face crystallizes in the sunlight as he taunts Clark. When Clark tries to rescue the father and son, Bizarro attacks him and Clark manages to knock him down. He then flies just ahead of the father and son and uses his heat vision to vaporize the wall of water sweeping toward them.
Clark superspeeds away, unaware that Lex is further upstream and struggling to get out of the locked car as it fills with water. He catches a glimpse of a woman dressed in white, silhouetted against the sun, then passes out due to lax of oxygen.
The force of Clark’s blow has impaled Bizarro on a pylon. He pulls himself free and casually incinerates a passing driver.

Clark runs back upstream to try and find Lionel, who was washed downstream in the flood. He’s unaware that a trench coated figure has found Lionel and hauled him away. Clark goes on to find Lois and Chloe and get them out.

Lex wakes up and finds himself safe on shore, with a beautiful blond woman standing over him. He tries to find out who she is, but she flies away at superspeed.
Clark and Lois take Chloe to the hospital where the EMTs try to revive her. Lois claims that she was fatally injured but believes that somehow something Lex was working on cured her, since she wasn’t conscious when Chloe used her power. Lois goes to Lex’s manor to demand answers.

The ER team finally declares Chloe dead and has her taken to the morgue. Chloe wakes up a bit later, and panics upon finding herself in a morgue drawer. The head ER doctor runs into Clark while looking for Lois as the next of kin, but Clark refuses to believe that Chloe is dead. He hears her panicked screams with his super hearing and gets her out of the drawer. Chloe refuses to stick around, afraid that someone will suspect what’s going on and take her in for experimentation. She also realizes that Lana is dead and how upset that Clark is.
Lex is in jail distantly listening to his lawyer play Lois’ last words, which will be used as evidence against him. Bizarro smashes his way in, kills the lawyer, and tells Lex to provide him with more kryptonite for his secret cache… or else.
Chloe is watching video of Lana in happier times and both her and Clark take a few minutes to mourn her death. Then they go over the information and figure that since Bizarro is a mirror evil to Clark’s good, he is physically the opposite and gets more powerful from kryptonite. Chloe then tracks a shipment of kryptonite to a LuthorCorp facility on the docks. Armed with this information, Clark goes to the barn where he meets with the mysterious Martian, John. Clark then works out that just as he receives his power from sunlight, Bizarro is weakened by it, his face turning crystalline.
Lex takes Bizarro to his storage facility for the kryptonite then pulls an experimental gun on him. Bizarro is unimpressed and easily disarms him, and notes that Lex has to choose between hurting or helping Clark. He then knocks Lex out but Clark arrives to fight it out. Bizarro knocks Clark into a wall, knocking it open and exposing Clark to sunlight from the outside. Bizarro strolls away but Clark taunts him into coming back into the sunlight. Bizarro reverts to his crystalline features and Clark easily takes him out, knocking him into the sky where a flying John takes him away.
Clark is at the farm later listening to the news about Lana’s death. Chloe arrives and Clark wonders if there’s any real difference between him and Bizarro. Lois drops in and, having realized that Lana is dead, graciously accepts that he was in shock when he supposedly groped her at the manor.
