Pete Ross is working as a roadie for the band and goes to the storage room to get some gum for them. He grabs a package for himself, unaware that it’s contaminated with kryptonite. Episode Quotes
Pete: I mean, I had to leave my life behind because of you, Clark. And, to be honest, it feels better than living in your shadow.

Lana: Kara, Lex has a way of being the hero at the exact moment that you need to be saved.

Pete: (to Clark) I guess the best part about knowing your secret is… being able to say thank you.
