Oliver needs Clark's help to steal the router they're using to trace Lex's location. Clark refuses since it's Chloe's wedding, noting that Lex isn't up to something at the moment and he can wait. Oliver doesn't believe it, and says that Chloe would understand. Clark explains to him that he had Jor-El take her memories of Clark having superpowers, but Oliver warns that Lex still knows Clark's secret and is a deadly danger to him.

Oliver returns to his plane and Clark shows up with the router. Clark wonders if Oliver is out for revenge for his parents and insists that Lex isn't responsible for Lionel's murder of the Queens. Oliver insists he's going after Lex to help Clark but Clark refuses to give him the router, insisting Oliver can wait until after the wedding and they'll do it together. However, after Clark leaves with the router, Oliver's computer tech reveals that he used wifi to download the router information and they have Lex's location.

Chloe is preparing for the wedding and looking for something borrowed when Lois arrives. Chloe thanks her for her work as a wedding organizer and gets another call from Davis. She ignores it but Lois asks what's going on and Chloe explains that Davis warned her Jimmy's not the man for her. Lana Lang. she's also on Lex's trail and was following the same e-mail trail. Davis rambles about backing out and then looks at his hand: bone spurs grow from the knuckles. He collapses, his eyes glowing red, and tells the security guard to run. The man draws his gun and fires several shots, and then... something grabs him and rips him apart.

After the exchange of vows, Chloe and Clark dance and Chloe admits she's recently felt like a great weight has been lifted off of her. Jimmy cuts in and Clark offers to dance with Lois, standing by herself. They draw closer but then hesitate, but then move in. They start to kiss... and Lana comes in. Clark hastily draws back and Lois walks away. Taking a bottle of champagne, she goes to the farmhouse porch and starts to drink. Oliver finds her there and she admits she's confused. He instantly figures it's about a guy and offers her a sympathetic ear, despite the fact he's her ex. She wonders if the guy she's interested in needs her without saying his name, but Oliver assures her that Clark does needs her.

Lana receives a text message asking "Did the archer believe you?" Before she can respond, Clark comes over and admits he would have liked some warning she was coming. She says that she was reluctant to return but read about Clark's "Good Samaritan" exploits and is glad he's finally accepted his destiny... without her in the way. She's glad that she left so he could accomplish what he has and what he will in the future. They talk about how she used to imagine having a wedding in the barn, and Clark tells her about how he had Chloe's memories wiped. He wonders what would have happened if Lana never knew about his superpowers, and she says she would have hated him for taking away her memories. She's happy with the knowledge and how it's led her to where she is now, even if they're never intended to be together.

Jimmy and Chloe cut their wedding cake, and a huge grey-skinned figure covered in bone spurs smashes into the barn. Lana is it by debris, injuring her leg. Chloe begs for Jimmy to hold on, and the intruder bends over her. She looks up at it and it says her name.

Lana limps upstairs and puts the kryptonite back in the box. As Clark recovers, Oliver arrives to tell them that the intruder has escaped with Chloe. The injured are taken to Smallville Hospital and Clark goes to see Lana. He tells her that Oliver is trying to get a satellite fix on the attacker. As he talks to her on the bed, Lois comes to the door and thinks they're back together. She quietly retreats before they can notice her. Lana tells Clark to go find Chloe. He goes outside and sees Lois, who tells him that Jimmy is in critical condition. Oliver is having him flown to Star City for an operation by a top surgeon. Lois says she's going with Jimmy and wonders why they're all plagued by tragedy. Clark assures her that they'll get Chloe back, but Lois wonders what happens if they can't.
