Starting the thread early for discussion of this two-hour movie event.

As a note, TVRage airs episodes the way the network chooses to air them. Since this will air as a single two-hour event with one set of opening and closing credits, that's how we'll list it. Every bit of news indicates that's how it's going to air, including the CW press release, so that's how it'll be listed here.

Well, in case anyone missed it (and judging from the lack of discussion, no one saw it), the recap is up in all its glory.

I haven't been too interested in Smallville for quite some time, it has been lacking something... but this episode was quite good, usually I fast forward through the episode but this one kept me interested the whole time.
Might have something to do with Michael Shanks guest starring, he is one of my favorite actors.

I thought this episode was really great. I love anything that has to do with the JLA, or other super-hero teams from the comics. I'm glad John Jones has his powers back too, was neat to see his alien form for the first time even if it was brief.

I also loved that they're finally making the connection that the JLA can be like a family. I only wish they could get the other actors (Flash, Cyborg, Aquaman, Canary, etc) to appear more often :/ Guess it's too expensive but I've always loved the kid who plays Flash.

I think the problem is that most of the other JL actors are tied up. Alan Ritchson is doing Blue Mountain State, Lee Thompson Young was on FlashForward until recently, and Kyle Gallner's on CSI: NY, and doing the new Nightmare on Elm Street. And Alaina Huffman's a regular on Stargate Universe.

My guess would be that they'll bring Cyborg in for the finale this year, unless Young gets another gig: his schedule is pretty clear now. Add in three or four of Shanks, Irvin, and Morris, and maybe Ritchson, for the big Apocalypse, and we'll see what happens.

Yeah you're probably right. I guess it wouldn't be easy to say "we'll need you for like 4-5 episodes" scattered throughout the season. It's just kind of lame that Green Arrow always happens to be the only one available, especially when one of them can run faster than the speed of light. But, is the price of hollywood I guess. What can you do. I just hope we get to see the entire JLA together one more time before the series ends.
