Jenna is frustrated when older brother Cameron refuses to realize that she has grown up. Don continues rehearsing for his big break in the upcoming local play, reciting his only line over and over trying to find the perfect inflection.
Henry finds out that his work was picked for the school's film festival. However he tries to keep the family from finding out about the honor. As the story leaks out he struggles to convince them that they do not need to attend the festival. As the whole family is watching the festival it becomes obvious why Henry preferred that they not be there, as his film was a personal portrayal of how dysfunctional he feels his family is. Cameron is embarrassed and frustrated because he doesn't understand how to better relate to his son. Jenna on the other hand is thrilled with the film as it showed her while she was singing at a karaoke night and thought it proved to the family that she could sing and had a dream worth pursuing. Cameron only ends up being more frustrated with Jenna when she takes an offer from a slimy looking agent to give him a call later, feeling that it proves that Jenna doesn't understand how to look out for herself.
