A case gets personal for Carlos when a killer focuses his attention on him after Carlos makes some not so flattering remarks about him on television. When his partner is killed, he's removed from the case. He quits the force because of it and teams up with Trent to form their own firm to hunt down the killer before he strikes again.

The guys are on the case when a young woman is raped. With the help of Rangers Walker and Trivette, they try to find the rapist before he harms someone else. With their little free time however, they find time to hire a new office assistant and go after a group of convicts that they suspect are stealing computer equipment.

When Butch's daughter goes missing after the murder of her boyfriend, the team attempts to find her. Her boyfriend was murdered after finding out some shady dealings of a high profile defense contractor. It's up to the team to not only find her, but the disk her late boyfriend had with all his findings, before time runs out.

Carlos accompanies A.D.A. Cahill on a camping trip with kids from the center. One young girl stands out and is upset over her father's disappearance. Though she claims he ran away, it seems suspicious. But when the young girl runs away from the camp, and Alex goes to find her, they both find themselves caught up in the scheme of some rebels planning carnage.

Butch, Trent and Carlos go literally underground to try to find a teenage girl who has runaway with her boyfriend. Suspected of being involved with an underground gang of thieves and black market dealers, the girl could be in danger. However, Carlos and Trent add another person to look for when Butch gets a clue on the gang and goes to investigate on his own.

The team is hired by a sleazy mob boss who is claiming to try to find his "wife." Understanding that he just wants Thunder Investigations to bring the girl to him, the guys take the job as they are still financially in trouble. After taking the case, they turn their backs on the mob boss and must help the woman before she is found by one of the boss' henchman.
