Listing all characters in the group Main Characters (4)

|
Stan Marsh, voiced by Trey Parker (1)
Stan Marsh, usually recognizable by his red-poof-ball ski hat, is the most clear-thinking member of the group. He usually solves South Park's problems by saying something profound at the end of each episode. His best friend is Kyle Broslofski. Stan is the youngest in his family of five, which consists of his father Randy, his mother Sharon, his sister Shelley, and his grandpa, Marvin Marsh.

Kyle Broflovski, voiced by Matt Stone
Kyle Broflovski is one of the few Jewish kids in his town. He usually wears an orange jacket and a bright green ear-flapped cap. Like Stan, Kyle is often the voice of reason and is occasionally the leader of the group. Kyle is perhaps the smartest, the most morally sound, and most cautious of the boys. He often gets teased by Cartman for being Jewish. He lives with his father Gerald, his mother Shelia, and an adopted Canadian younger brother, Ike.

Eric Theodore Cartman, voiced by Trey Parker (1)
Cartman is an evil little bastard, who doesn't care whose feelings he hurts or whose toes he steps on, as long as his own needs are met. He seeks power in unethical ways, and abuses whatever power he gets. His mom (a hermaphrodite, who is biologically his father) is so distracted and lenient, that he pretty much gets whatever he wants. Cartman is mean to everyone, but he particularly picks on Kyle for being Jewish, Butters for being naive, and Kenny for being poor.

Kenny McKormick, voiced by Matt Stone
Kenny McKormick is the poor, perverted, foul-mouthed boy in the orange parka. His voice is usually muffled by the parka so his words are often unclear. Kenny knows a lot more about sex and other adult issues than the other boys. He is also the unluckiest of the group, repeatedly getting killed only to come back in the next episode, though he was once dead for a whole season. After he came back, he stopped dying in every episode. Kenny's family is poor, and consists of his father, his mother, his older brother Kevin, and his little sister.
