Episode Quotes |
| |
Steven: Oh, I've got a trick for you to learn. I can show you how to make your true self appear. Let me ask you all something - do you consider yourselves to be happy?
Butters: I don't think I'm very happy. I always fall asleep to the sounds of my own screams. | Jesus: Very well. I shall perform the miracle. Behold. Here you can see ordinary water, clear, clean. Okay now, turn around. (Stan looks at Jesus, wary) Uh, tur- turn around. (Stan turns away and Jesus switches pitchers) Uh, okay now, turn back. (Stan turns back around) It is now wine!
Stan: That's it? That's how you did that trick?
Jesus: W... well, yeah.
Stan: That trick sucks, Jesus.
Jesus: Oh. Well, I guess it worked a little better on people two thousand years ago. |

Title: The Super Best Friends
The title, and very premise of the Super Best Friends, is a spoof of the children's cartoon series, SuperFriends. There were several different versions of the SuperFriends, but all featured a group of superheroes, fighting together for justice, each using his or her own unique powers. | Cartman: (sitting up suddenly in bed, coming out of a dream) No, Paula Poundstone! Leave me alone!
Paula Poundstone is a stand-up comic, known for her dry wit. She also pleaded no contest to charges of felony child endangerment in 2001, which is perhaps what Cartman was fearing in his dream. | Mohammed: Krishna, we're going to need wood for a mold!
Krishna: Form of... a beaver!
This is a spoof of the Wonder Twins characters, from SuperFriends (1978). The Wonder Twins worked in tandem to fight evil: one twin, Jayna, always taking the form of an animal, and the other, Zan, taking some form of water. |

Cartman: Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't wanna die either. (points to his crotch) I haven't even gotten my pubes yet.
This is a reference to the episode that aired the following week, "Scott Tenorman Must Die." That episode was actually created before this one, but was shown a week later. |
