South Park: Professor Chaos

Butters is fired as Kenny's replacement, and the boys hold "auditions" in the style of The Bachelor for the new fourth friend. Butters, feeling rejected by the group, decides to become an evil super-villain, and tries to wreak havoc wherever he goes.

Recap

The boys call Butters to a meeting and explain to him "delicately" that it's just not working out with him as the fourth friend. They thank him for all his hard work, and then begin a comptetition similar to ABC's The Bachelor to try and find a new replacement fourth friend. Butters feels rejected and furious at the world that has shunned him and creates an alternate evil personality: Professor Chaos. He then sets off to spread chaos and doom by going to Bennigan's and switching people's meals and stealing Ms. Choksondik's erasers at school...

Professor Chaos' plots include flooding the world with a garden hose, and destroying the ozone layer with air freshener.

It is revealed that Ms. Choksondik died in this episode, but the cause of her death isn't shown.

Dougie: I'm, not trying to call you out, Professor Chaos. I want to join you.
Butters: Join me?

Cultural References

Cartman: Now, the first thing we have to do is cut the list down from twenty choices to ten. And so today we will all be going to the amusement park together to see who we want to cut. Please keep in mind that this will all be videotaped, so put on your best friend faces, and may the best friend win.

The scenes of the boys choosing a replacement for Kenny are done in the style of the dating reality show, The Bachelor, where a man goes on dates with prospective wives until he narrows the list down to one woman.

Towelie: (playing guitar, and messes up the song) Okay wait... (starts over, but messes up again, and the boys look bored) No, no wait.

The song that Towelie keeps butchering is "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin.
