The Simpsons Already Did It - Recap

<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
The episode begins with Cartman showing Kyle, Stan, and Tweek (the new 4th friend) an advertisement for seapeople, tiny sea dwelling creatures that apparently build cities and live like humans. Cartman convinces everyone to chip in so that they can buy them. Butters, who is in Professor Chaos mode, is trying to figure out a way to destroy the town. He plans to block out the sun, but General Disarray informs him that Mr. Burns on The Simpsons had already done this. Butters is disappointed that the idea isn't original.

The boys buy the seapeople and are shocked to find that they are nothing more than brine shrimp. They put them in Ms. Choksondik's coffee. She mysteriously dies shortly afterward.

Butters' next plan is to cut off the head of a statue in town, but is again disappointed when General Disarray informs him that this was also already done on The Simpsons. Meanwhile, the boys head to the morgue to get the seapeople out of Ms. Choksondik's stomach fearing that it was the seapeople that killed her after hearing that "seamen" were found in her stomach. Butters continues to come up with ideas only to have them shut down since they were all already done on The Simpsons.

Eventually, Chef explains to the boys that there's a difference between seamen and semen, having previously thought that the boys had killed the teacher and then raped her. By now though, the semen that the boys recovered and dumped into the tank has caused the brine shrimp to turn into the actual seapeople. The turn into a fast evolving civilization that eventually nuke themselves due to religious disagreements (one half believe Tweek is God, while the other believe that Cartman is God).

Butters is growing increasingly insane with all his attempts to wreak havoc being shot down because they were already done by The Simpsons. He begins to see the South Park world as the Simpsons' world. Eventually, Chef and Mr. Garrison explain to him that The Simpsons have done everything and everything has been done at least once so there's no need to feel bad about it.
