Episode Summary
 
The thrilling conclusion to the Imaginationland Trilogy sees Butters embracing his role as the chosen one. As the evils of our imagination march to the safe haven of the land's inhabitants, the Council of Nine prepare themselves for the coming battle. Back in the real world, Kyle is recovering while Cartman patiently waits for him to finally make good on their bet.

In each episode of the "Imaginationland" trilogy, Cartman appears dressed as a figure of authority. In this episode he is dressed as the Pope.
 
"Imaginationland: Episode III" was viewed by 3.9 million total viewers, making it the most watched telecast of 2007 on Comedy Central until "Guitar Queer-o" aired the following week. The episode was the night's most watched program in all of television among men aged 18 to 24 and men aged 18 to 34.

Kyle: Yea I guess.
Luke: Okay now hold on because Superman is here and he wants to say something.
Superman: Kyle, this is Superman.
Kyle: Hi Superman.
Superman: I know that saving people can be a big responsibility, but no matter what it takes, it's worth it.
Kyle: I know.
Superman: You can do this Kyle. Now hang on because Hercules wants to talk to you.
Kyle: (annoyed) Oh God!
Superman: Yes, God is here too. He's going to talk to you right after Captain Crunch.

Al Gore is wearing his Nobel Peace Prize medal in this episode. He, along with the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, were awarded the Peace Prize at the 2007 ceremony.
 
Luke Skywalker: ..do you remember when I brought down the Death Star?

This is in reference to the original Star Wars film, or sometimes referred to as Star Wars: A New Hope. Luke Skywalker, guided by Obi-Wan, uses the Force to fire a shot from his ship that successfully destroys the Death Star, Darth Vader's space station that's capable of annihilating an entire planet.
