| News Anchor: We now return to the stupid democratic debates.
(cuts back to debate)
Hillary Clinton: --and spearchuckers. | Kyle: A hundred thousand dollars?
Cartman: That's enough to buy slaves! | Reporter: You won't believe what Britney's done now! The troubled star has just been spotted with a crazy "no top part of the head" look (cuts to video of Britney on stretcher) This video was taken just hours ago as Britney was wheeled into the hospital for some reason, and if we zoom in on the footage, (camera zooms in on a scar on her chest) right here, you can also definitely see a boob job scar! No doubt now that she's had plastic surgery in the past!
Anchor: (laughs) Ouch, that's gotta be embarrassing! Any word on why Britney went for this radical no top of the head look?
Reporter: No word yet, Tom, but it could be over the embarrassment of the boob job scar video we showed just just now.... Uh... even though the timing doesn't quite work out... |

| Visual: Amtrak

The Transtrak train company is similar in name as well as logo to that of Amtrak, a large corporation funded by the U.S. government to provide Americans with passenger rail service. | The idea of sacrificing someone in order to get a good corn harvest comes from Shirley Jackson's 1948 short story "The Lottery." It is also similar to the plot of the 1973 film The Wicker Man, in which an entire town secretly organizes a yearly human sacrifice. | The Omen:
The demonic chanting used throughout the episode by everyone involved is much like that heard in The Omen (1976), which was later remade in 2006. | Invasion of the Body Snatchers:

While the boys attempt to get Britney out of the hospital without the crowd of paparazzi and reporters seeing them, they are spotted. A man holding a camera points to them and shrieks. This is a reference to the film Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978), in which Donald Sutherland's character has the same reaction. |

| The medical chart found at the end of Britney's bed in the hospital is the exact same chart that was on Cartman's bed in the previous episode, "Tonsil Trouble." | The closet at the train station that Stan, Kyle, and Britney hide in is the same closet on the FOX Studio Lot in the episode "Cartoon Wars Part II." |
