| | Season one introduces the major characters and establishes their individual personalities, as well as gives the viewer a feel for the town of South Park itself. Immediately the show begins to tackle controversial social issues such as homosexuality and euthanasia. Stan and Wendy's romantic relationship begins, and Cartman starts his quest to discover the identity of his biological father. Other characters introduced in season one include the "Visitors" (who implant a device into Cartman's anus), Mr. Garrision, Stan's Uncle Jimbo and his friend Ned, Dr. Mephesto, Scuzzlebutt, Big Gay Al, Starvin' Marvin, and Mr. Hankey. | |
