| | This season continues with more social commentary like the previous season. "Douche and Turd" takes a poke at the American political system, while "Goobacks" is a warped view of immigration. Mel Gibson, Wal*Mart, Michael Jackson, and Paris Hilton become victims of the South Park universe. Butters appears frequently in the first half of the season, even co-starring in "AWESOM-O" with Cartman. Although that episode was a bit of a surprise, as the previews advertised that week were for "The Return of Lemmiwinks" but because of complications the episode was never made, and "AWESOM-O" was aired instead. The character Ms. Crabtree was murdered in "Cartman's Incredible Gift" because she was a lesser character viewers would not miss. The season comes to a conclusion on a Christmas special, although it's nothing like the previous holiday specials. | |
