|
| Season seven has less "flow" than the other seasons, meaning there aren't as many long storylines that continue through multiple episodes. There are, however, several episodes that make reference to past seasons, such as the season's opener, "Cancelled," which refers back to South Park's very first episode. There is an abundance of social commentary this season as well, and the show pokes fun of overzealous anti-smoking campaigns, the metrosexual trend, Hooter's restaurants, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's relationship, Christian rock music, Mormons, and gang warfare. Stan and Wendy's romantic relationship ends, and Ike is reclaimed by his Canadian birth parents, only to be brought back to Kyle's family for good. New characters that were introduced in this season include the Raisins girls, the Goth kids, and Gary the Mormon. |
