recap: The episode begins and a small group of Roman soldiers huddle around a fire. Their leader complains that they have only one rabbit to eat amongst them. Suddenly, a flaming arrow pierces him through the gut. Attacking this small group of Roman soldiers is Spartacus and company, who discover that these Romans are not wearing the crest of Crassus. Laeta confirms that these are Pompey’s men and the rebels realize that they are caught between two armies, each vying to be the one that takes down Spartacus... read more.

recap: The episode begins with Spartacus and his men are on the run and with Crassus and his legions in pursuit. Caesar argues that Crassus is pushing the men too hard and that they need to rest. Senator Metellus arrives seeking an audience and he is not happy that Crassus let Spartacus get away from the ridge. Metellus tells Crassus that his name is tainted because of what has happened. Crassus doesn’t take kindly to the criticism and gives Metellus a beating. Caesar tires to intervene, but Tiberius stops him. Caesar does eventually prevent Crassus from beating Metellus to death... read more.

3x7: Mors Indecepta recap: The episode begins with Spartacus and his army freezing. They are trapped between the Roman forces and the Roman fence. Hundreds of Spartacus’ dead followers line the trench. Those who are trying to climb out are struck down by the looming Romans. Spartacus and the rebels see that, from the other side, Crassus’ army has begun to advance. Crixus readies the men for a last stand. Spartacus realizes the Romans aren’t advancing but, instead, they’re awaiting the arrival of their commander. Spartacus says he once served in the Roman auxiliary and knows their tactics... read more.

3x6: Spoils of War recap: The episode begins and the gates of the city comes tumbling down and Roman soldiers begin pouring in. Caesar tells the rebels that it would be a good idea for them to run, but the rebels decide to stay put and fight. Soon they realize that they are outnumbered and just then Crassus enters the city and is welcomed by Caesar. Spartacus discusses with Crixus and others how they were betrayed by Heracleo and Caesar. Crixus feels they should stay and fight to their last breath, but Spartacus feels otherwise. He says they should escape to the snowy mountains above the city and should use the north gate for their escape... read more.

3x4: Decimation recap: The episode begins with Crixus egging Spartacus into action, but instead Spartacus is more bothered about the fact that his troops are hungry and he therefore is more interested in procuring food and supplies. It apparently seems that a rift is forming between Crixus and Spartacus and they aren’t seeing eye-to-eye on a number of issues. In the meantime, Slaves who have escaped are pouring into the city and are ordered by the rebels to surrender their weapons at the gate and to also prove via some mark or band their status. One slave exposes her chest as a proof and immediately both Gannicus and Saxa seem interested... read more.
