Episode Summary

While on a space-mission on the moon, John Jameson, son of J. Jonah Jameson, discovers Promethium X, one of the most valuable elements known to man. En route back to Earth, the Promethium begins to act violently, causing John Jameson to travel off course, and crash-land on the Brooklyn Bridge. Spider-Man sees this as the ultimate opportunity to gain the trust of J. Jonah Jameson, as if he rescues his son, Jameson will believe him to be a hero. His plan nearly works, though he’s disrupted by the Rhino, who was hired by the Kingpin to steal the Promethium X. He’s ultimately successful, and once he leaves he believes he’ll finally be accepted as a hero to the city, though he awakes the next day to be accused of stealing the Promethium X by Eddie Brock, who takes pictures of him leaving the ship. Spider-Man plans to give up the superhero business, though the next day, he finds himself in the middle of Manhattan in a black-symbiotic suit which gives him superior-strength and the power to change his appearance. Soon, the new suit corrupts Spider-Man, almost to the point of killing.
