Spider-Man: Neogenic Nightmare (14): The Final Nightmare (2)

Picking up where the previous episode left off, Spider-Man narrowly escapes from the Vulture during an explosion from the Vulture. Spider-Man believes he’ll change back to his normal self after a short while, just as the kid in the park did earlier. However, he remains elderly, so he contacts Dr. Connors, whom he schedules to meet with the following day to see if he can be on any help.
Meanwhile, the Vulture has developed Spider-Man’s mutagenic transformation, which was transferred to him when he stole his youth. The Vulture goes to Dr. Connors, explaining what has happened, and learns that he can only be cured by giving his youth back to Spider-Man. The Scorpion also wants to be Mac Gargan again, so he kidnaps Dr. Farley Stillwell to turn him back.

News Stand Clerk: Hey! You didn't pay!
The Scorpion: (upon destroying the stand with his tail) Keep the change.

Old Woman: Thank you, Spider-Man.
Old Spider-Man: Hey, us old folks have to stick together.
Old Woman: I had no idea Spider-Man was a senior citizen.
Old Spider-Man: It's the job; it ages you.

J. Jonah Jameson: Robbie, why is it that having no responsibility goes hand-in-hand with being young?

Scientist #1: (about Dr. Stillwell) Remember the Scorpion? Well, this guy created him. He was a scientist on the cutting edge.
Scientist #2: Well, he's over the edge, now.

Spider-Man: (upon receiving his youth) I'm baaaaack!

Episode Goofs
When Scorpion begins spraying acid, it drips from the ceiling above on to the computer monitor below. Dr. Stillwell tells the Scorpion to stop, as he'll destroy the neogenic files. However, instead of taking the computer tower, itself (which stores the files), he takes the keyboard.

Cultural References
Visual: General's Fried Chicken

This may be a pun to Kentucky Fried Chicken, as it is said to have been founded by the "Colonel", making it Colonel's Fried Chicken.

Episode References
"The Sting of the Scorpion"

The scene in which we see Dr. Stillwell using the neogenic recombinator on a scorpion, and then on Mac Gargan, thus turning Mac Gargan into the Scorpion was featured in the episode above.
