Episode Notes
The Krusty Krab 2 opened on March 7th.
It became the all-time nickelodeon movie with over $100,000,000 surpassing The Rugrats Movie.
The original "cover-up" plot of the film had SpongeBob going to rescue Patrick from a fisherman in Florida. This was an obvious reference to Finding Nemo (2003) and was later revealed by Tom Kenny to be just a "joke" plot which he made up to keep the fans busy.
The DVD came out on March 1st.
When it first came out, the movie debuted at number two at the box office behind National Treasure.
Dedicated to Jules Engel (1909?-2003).
SpongeBob's voice is different now starting with this movie.
A video game was released based on this movie
This was not an actual episode of "SpongeBob SquarePants".
This movie was rated PG.
Premiered on television on November 10, 2006.
The Spongebob Squarepants Movie did surprisingly well for a Nickelodeon movie, considering Nickelodeon's history at the box office with movies isn't too good.
