Stardate 52576.2: On a visit to Bajor, Captain Sisko is taken for a trip to Kendra Provice, where he eyes some land that is so beautiful to him, he purchases it, bringing himself one step closer to living on Bajor. Meanwhile, the Colonel brings word that the I.K.S. Rotarran and I.K.S. Koraga had been attacked in the Badlands by the Dominion. The Koraga is destroyed and only six escape pods are retrieved. Log Entry:
* Personal Log, Stardate 52576.2 [Benjamin Sisko] - Dax and Worf are four days overdue. Dominion activity at their last known position has prevented us from sending a search team. For the time being, there's nothing to do but wait...and hope that they're all right. | "Penumbra" begins the final story arc of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, which continues through the last ten episodes of the series. | Stellar Cartography
According to the atlas Star Trek: Star Charts by Geoffrey Mandel, the Goralis System is located within the Cardassian Union. While the Breen Confederacy borders the Union, with the Union separating the Breen from most of Federation space, Goralis is very far from that border. In fact, it is not far from the Cardassian border with the Federation. A Breen vessel being so far from home gives a very strong signal of what is to come. |

Episode Quotes |

Julian: (Referring to the transparant-skulled Gallamite) Personally, I don't know what Jadzia ever saw in the man.
Miles: Well, his brains. | Quark: Referring to Worf) He'll be back before you know it.
Ezri: You really think so?
Quark: Absolutely...The night before he went on patrol, he brought the Koraga's crew in here and bought them three barrels of bloodwine.
Ezri: And...?
Quark: And...he didn't pay the tab. Do you really think he'd go to Sto-Vo-Kor owing me money?
Ezri: He doesn't even like you.
Quark: Exactly. He couldn't enjoy the afterlife knowing I had something on him. |
