Log Entries:
*Captain's Log, Stardate 42506.5. We have departed from Starbase 179 and are headed for a rendezvous with the Klingon vessel Pagh. I have informed the staff of Commander Riker's temporary assignment.
*First Officer's Log. I have been aboard the Pagh a short time but long enough to be impressed with the abilities and single-mindedness of the Klingons.
*Captain's Log, Stardate 42507.8. Although our search has been extensive, we are still unable to locate the Klingon ship or any evidence of its destruction. | Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi) and LeVar Burton (Geordi LaForge) do not appear in this episode. | Despite the fact that he had appeared in the series regularly since "Encounter at Farpoint," Miles O'Brien's name is first revealed in this episode. | Klag: Yes! If... Klingon food is too strong for you, perhaps we could get one of the females to breast feed you...
Indicating that Klingons share this quality with Terran mammals. |

Episode Quotes |
| |
(Despite having been shown chowing down on a wide variety of Klingon foods, he is now eating the same foods in the Klingon mess, as prepared by and eaten by Klingons)
Riker: Delicious!
Klag: Good! Then you will also enjoy this. (sets something in front of Riker)
Riker: Isn't that qagh?
Klag: Very good! You did some research on our nutritional choices.
Riker: Yes. (Looking down at it. It's still alive and moving). It's still moving.
Klag: qagh is always best when served live.
(Riker looks around, others are smiling at his obvious discomfort)
Klag: Would you like something easier?
Riker: Easier?
Klag: Yes! If... Klingon food is too strong for you, perhaps we could get one of the females to breast feed you... (laughter all around, Riker takes it good naturedly) | (A female Klingon warrior holds his chin, tipping Riker's head back for a better look)
Vekma: He is not very attractive, but I will have him!
Klag: They are inquisitive!
Tactics Officer: They would like to know how you would endure.
Riker: Endure what?
Klag: Them! (nods at females)
(Riker notices another Klingon female warrior eying him, turns back and looks Klag in the eye)
Riker: One or both?
(good natured laughter all around as they realize he's not being intimidated by their ribbing) |
