Christine Chapel is portrayed by Majel Barrett Roddenberry, and began as a head nurse for the Enterprise for Dr. McCoy. She later became a doctor. She was promoted to Chief Medical Officer under the command of Captain Willard Decker. She also took a position at Star Fleet Command.
