• DVD releases of remastered episodes canceled.

Paramount has canceled the second season release of Star Trek on HD-DVD and DVD hybrid discs. The release, originally announced for March and later pushed to the summer of 2008, was partially underwritten by Toshiba as part of their HD-DVD promotion. Toshiba has pulled the plug on their format and has discontinued funding this effort. It is unclear at this time whether the episodes will be released in Blu-Ray format at some future time.
