In real life there is a galaxy named "Pegasus".

This episode marks the first appearance of Amanda Tapping (Samantha Carter) on the series. With this episode, Christopher Judge (Teal'c) is the only original cast member of Stargate SG-1 who has not yet appeared on the series.

This is the only episode of either Stargate SG-1 or Stargate Atlantis in which both Amanda Tapping (Samantha Carter) and David Hewlett (Rodney McKay) appear in which they do not share a scene.
