Episode Notes
This episode marks the first appearance of Agent Richard Woolsey (Robert Picardo) on the series.

Christopher Heyerdahl (Male Wraith) previously played Halling in several episodes of Season One.

Beau Bridges (General Landry), Gary Jones (Sgt. Walter Harriman) and Robert Picardo (Agent Woolsey) all also appeared in the Stargate SG-1 Season Ten premiere "Flesh and Blood". Both episodes originally aired on July 14, 2006.

Robert Picardo (Agent Woolsey) and Connor Trinneer (Michael Kenmore) are both former Star Trek cast members. Picardo played the Doctor in Star Trek: Voyager from 1995 to 2001, while Trinneer played Commander Charles "Trip" Tucker III in Star Trek: Enterprise from 2001 to 2005.

Paul McGillion (Carson Beckett) does not appear in this episode.

This episode reveals that Wraith females are immune to the retrovirus.

This episode marks the first reference to the Ori on the series.

Episode Quotes
Sheppard: Operation "This will most likely end badly" is a go.

Michael: Good luck.
Sheppard: Thanks. It'll be a walk in the park. A very scary park, filled with monsters who are trying to kill me...

Episode Goofs
Michael walks up to some guards escorting Lt. Col. Sheppard and he says that the Queen wants him to take him off their hands. When they refuse, he suggests that they go discuss it with her right then (which makes them nervous, so they back down). They shouldn't need to go anywhere to know her will since the Wraith share a communal mind, as evidenced by Teyla being able to tap into it in "The Gift" (1x18).

Cultural References
Star Wars:
Sheppard claims he latched his 302 into the hull of the ship because he saw it in a movie once. This movie was most likely The Empire Strikes Back, when the Millennium Falcon latched onto a Star Destroyer.
