<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Ronon and Teyla arrive at a village looking for a group of alleged Satedans. Teyla checks out a tavern and ends up in a fight with the three Satedans. They get the better of her but Ronon arrives and gets the drop on them. Meanwhile, Rodney thinks he’ll be made the new leader of Atlantis but finds out that Samantha Carter has been chosen by the IOA.

The Satedans, Tyre, Ara, and Rakai, shares drinks and stories of survival with Ronon. Meanwhile, Teal’c says goodbye to Sam as she heads out of the SGC. She arrives on Atlantis where the staff greets her, and Rodney is particularly enthused.

Ronon gets a new tattoo and wonders what the other Satedans have been doing. They reveal that they’ve lost teammates and Ronon starts to suggest that he can supply arms and resources, but hesitates.

Rodney comes to visit Sam and explains she’s seeing someone so she doesn’t have to worry about their unrequited lust. Sam graciously agrees not to. Ronon arrives and asks for permission to bring the Satedans, but Sam refuses. Ronon asserts that Weir would have trusted him but Sam faces him down and tells him she’s not Dr. Weir. He returns to the other Satedans and Tyre wants him to team up with them.

Sam and Sheppard talk about Weir and Sheppard wonders if Sam will let them go after her. Sam refuses, believing it’s too dangerous. Meanwhile, Ronon and Teyla fight and it’s clear that Ronon is distracted. He finally tells her that he’s leaving Atlantis to join with the Satedans and she tells him that she’s been in the same position but accepts that she can help more people by working with Atlantis. Sheppard meets with Atlantis and Ronon admits he wants to protect his fellow soldiers and wants Sheppard and his people to run an operation against the Wraith. Ronon refuses to tell him more until they bring in the Satedans. Sheppard meets with them and they describe their plan to attack a Wraith laboratory. Tyre and the others want Sheppard to provide a ship but he refuses until they reveal the laboratory is where the Wraith are working to override the Replicator activation code. Sheppard reluctantly agrees and afterward Ronon reveals he’s going to be leaving Atlantis.

Ronon packs up his gear on Atlantis and Sam comes to him to try to get him to stay. Ronon wonders if she’s more concerned about the fact he’s a potential security risk. The two teams arrive at the Wraith lab but the two groups are at odds. Sheppard finally lets the Satedans take the lead and they take out the Wraith guards and find the teleporter. Once inside, they split up with Ronon accompanying the Satedans. Sheppard’s team runs into a Wraith patrol and Ronon goes after them, ignoring the Satedans. Teyla is stunned and Rodney tries to get through the door. He succeeds but it’s too late because Sheppard and gets stunned and the Wraith take them both away. Rodney hides in some test subjects but once he comes out, the Satedans find and stun him: they’re working with the Wraith.

Ronon goes back to Atlantis to talk with Sam, while Sheppard wakes up in a cell. Rodney explains that the whole thing is a set up and then the Wraiths take him away to help them figure out a way to deactivate the Replicator code. Back on Atlantis, Ronon explains what happened and Sam sends two Jumpers back with him. She prepares to lead the mission and says she’ll accept Ronon’s decision.

Rodney tries to finish the work and the Wraith inform him that his people are on their way. One of the Jumpers lures the Wraith away while Sam and Ronon’s team come in separately. They split up and Sam and Zelenka rescue Sheppard and Teyla. Ronon finds the Satedans but take him prisoner.

Sheppard and Sam find McKay then release the Replicator which goes after the Wraith. Meanwhile, Ronon demands answers and the Satedans reveal that they received the gift of immortality after repeated torture. The Satedans reveal that their two dead teammates died resisting the Wraith but they gave in. Ronon refuses to join with them and tells them to leave, but they fight him in hand-to-hand combat as Satedans. Rakai draws a knife and kills Ara when she interferes, and Ronon kills him. Tyre runs away, while the Atlantis team follows the trail of Wraith bodies left by the Wraith and finds Ronon. He tells them he’s with his friends now, and they head back to Atlantis.

Ronon moves back into his quarters on Atlantis and Teyla says it’s nice to have him back. He admits it’s good to be back, then considers a painting of his fellow Satedans.
