<-- Previous EpisodeNext Episode -->
Teyla goes to pick up Dr. Keller to travel to New Athos, where Teyla’s people have settled. Dr. Keller is nervous but takes along some lollipops for the children. They go through the gate and find the settlement, only to discover everyone gone.

Two barbarians enter the village and Teyla gets Dr. Keller out, then borrows her knife since she didn’t bring a gun to meet with her own people. Teyla recognizes the intruders as Bola Kai, and starts moving toward the gate. Dr. Keller twists her ankle and after abandoning her bag, Teyla gets her moving. However, the Bola Kai are already at the gate so Teyla prepares to get weapons from a cache. However, they’re forced to hide when the Bola Kai spot them. Teyla warns that the Bola Kai won’t stop hunting them, and Atlantis won’t send a team until after they miss their check-in time. The Bola Kai start beating drums, a sign that the hunt is beginning.

They get to the weapon cache but there are no weapons there. They head for a hunting blind across a river but have to cross a rope bridge. When Keller hesitates, Teyla leaves her behind, forcing the doctor to cross over as well. When Keller slips, Teyla comes back to rescue her. They head for the blind and three Bola Kai attack them. Teyla defeats two of them and the third one runs off. Teyla goes after him and kills him, then returns to kill one of the survivors. They then find a wounded prisoner, but Teyla says he’s not an Athosian and prepares to abandon him. Keller insists on treating the man and Teyla reluctantly agrees. She then goes to find the hunting blind then brings Keller and the wounded prisoner there. Teyla hears a noise and kills the burrowing land slug responsible. Keller passes on eating the raw meat.

The prisoner wakes up and identifies himself as a Genii, Nabel Golan. He was planted among the Athosians as a spy and says they’re all dead, killed by the Wraith. The Bola Kai are Wraith worshippers and told them about the Athosian community. When he tries to get additional info, she tells him to thank her and shut up.

Both women stay awake through the night, and Keller eventually brings herself to eat the raw meat. Teyla admits that she was coming to see an Athosian that she was involved in. A Bola Kai spots them and they’re forced to move on.

McKay and Sheppard are discussing Batman villains when Ronon wonders why Teyla hasn’t checked in, so they decide to investigate.

Golan is slowing them down and Teyla is reluctant to keep him with them, but Keller figures she’s feeling guilty for bringing the doctor along. Before they can discuss the matter further, the Bola Kai attack and bring down Teyla.

Sheppard tries to contact Teyla without success, as the two women are in a cage in what’s left of the Athosian settlement. Teyla warns that the Bola Kai will torture them for information. The Bola Kai leader, Omal, interrogates them but doesn’t believe they are Athosians. Omal says that the village was deserted when they found it and his people are also hunted by the Wraith. He has Teyla taken away and demands answers from Keller. Keller buys time by giving them a fake gate address and she’s put back in the cage with Teyla.

Sheppard and the others arrive by puddle jumper and try to assess the situation. Omal takes his men to attack while Golan shoots down the women’s’ guards and frees them. However once he has them free he knocks out Teyla and demands Atlantis’ gate address from Keller. Keller realizes that he’s not Genii and is in fact the Wraith worshipper who betrayed the Athosians. He claims the Athosians aren’t dead and Teyla tries to attack him but fails. She does buy Keller enough time to fight with Golan and grab the gun. they try to interrogate Golan but the Bola Kai attack. Sheppard’s team arrives just in time to take them off, but Golan slips away before Teyla can force him to explain what happened to the Athosians. The team is forced to retreat back to Atlantis.

Teyla is recovering at Atlantis and Sheppard informs her that Golan escaped and they have no clue what happened to the Athosians. Teyla vows to find out what happened to her people and punish whoever is responsible. Keller is keeping her in bed, and warns her that there is something wrong beyond a simple injury…
