Sheppard and his team visit Beckett, who is providing medical assistance to a village. He explains that some of the Balarans, who Michael tested the Hoffan drug on, fled their planet and were taken in by the villagers. The Hoffan drug makes the Balarans toxic to any Wraith who tries to feed on them. One of the Balarans, Novo, is working with Beckett as a volunteer assistant.
