Jonas Quinn [Season 6], played by Corin Nemec
Jonas Quinn is from Kelowna, a planet visited by SG-1 in season five. Jonas worked for the government in finding an application for a mineral called Naquadria - namely, a bomb powerful enough to destroy entire cities. When the Kelownan government covered up scientists dying from radiation poisoning and accusing Daniel Jackson of sabotage, when in fact he saved all the people on that planet, Jonas felt disillusioned with his work and decided to defect to Earth taking with him some raw Naquadria for Stargate Command to build defence shields for their space ships in their battle against the Goa'uld. Jonas stayed for a little over year trying to earn Colonel O'Neill's trust and respect, which was not exactly easy. When Daniel Jackson returned to human form after ascending, Jonas went back to Kelowna, after the Kelownan government narrowly defeated the Goa'uld Anubis with the help of SG-1. There he is now a high ranking government official and is now considered a hero and not a traitor. |
