General George Hammond, played by Don S. Davis
The former commander of the top secret military base at Cheyenne Mountain, Stargate Command. General Hammond is not afraid to get his hands dirty, helping his teams off-world on many occasions whilst defending the Stargate program by any means necessary. He has the mutual respect of all teams, who, on occasion, put their careers on the line to protect him and his family threatened by organisations with their own agendas. His friend, President Henry Hayes, promoted him to commander of the Earth ship Prometheus, a short lived assignment and he has now since retired from active duty. |
