Episode Quotes

Daniel: They treated me like their savior. It was... embarrassing.
Jack: It's amazingly you turned out so normal.

Daniel: She practically fell on the floor laughing every time I tried to do some chore they took for granted. Like grinding eupheta flour. Have you ever tried to grind your own flour?
Jack: I'm trying to kick the flour thing.

Daniel: This is going straight to my head. What time is it? I must have gate lag or something.
Jack: Daniel, for crying out loud, you've had one beer. You're a cheaper date than my wife was.

Sam: So you're saying Ra's not the last of his race after all.
Kawalsky: Maybe he's got a brother Ray.

General Hammond: Colonel, you've had the most experience in fighting this hostile. Assuming you have to defend in the field, are you up to it?
Colonel O'Neill: We beat him once.
General Hammond: I'll take that as a maybe.

General Hammond: Major Kawalsky, you will head SG-2.
Kawalsky: I will?
General Hammond: Colonel O'Neill keeps telling me it's about time you had a command.
Jack I had a moment of weakness.

Samuels: I kinda wish I was going with you.
Kawalsky: I'm kinda glad you're staying behind.

Colonel O'Neill: Hold down the fort.
Major Kawalsky: Pick me up a t-shirt.

Daniel: Unless we want to give ourselves a really bad reputation, I just think we should avoid shooting the first people we meet on a new planet.

Daniel: Chulak. It sounds good.
Jack: I hear it sounds nice this time of year.

Jack: I can save these people! Help me! Help me.
Teal'c: Many have said that… but you are the first I believe could do it!

Jack: Hey, come on!
Teal'c: I have nowhere to go.
Jackl: For this you can stay at my place! Let's go!
(He motions for Teal'c to follow him)

Episode Goofs

When SG1 dials home at the end, light from the wormhole is cast on Hammond and Samuels before the iris opens.

Daniel is never officially confirmed as being a member of SG-1 during this episode.

Although Chulak has two suns, everything casts just one shadow, not two as they should.
