After a near deadly pursuit by gliders and the well aimed destruction of one vessel, the SG-1 team just manage to leap safely through the Stargate. Episode Notes

This episode is also know as “Teal’c, Interrupted.”

Advanced Stargate Lessons by Carter:
The Stargate turns matter into energy, and then transmits it through a subspace wormhole. The gate on the receiving end is what translates the energy signature and re-converts it back into the matter’s original form. The Stargate has massive amounts of memory inside it. It’s like a computer buffer; it temporally stores the energy patterns, before it re-converts them back into matter. Now, it does this to make sure that it has all the information before it reassembles the object.

This episode marks the first appearance of Dr. Rodney McKay (David Hewlett) on the series. He would later become a regular character on the spin-off series Stargate Atlantis.

This episode marks the death of Tanith (Peter Wingfield).
