(Assuming the Stargate feature film to be canon) The Eye of Ra was seen and used by him when he faced off with Col. O'Neill and Daniel Jackson. It seems highly unlikely that the Eye would somehow end up hidden in a secret chamber, especially when Ra seemed to have it in his possession when his mothership was destroyed.
