Stargate SG-1: Fragile Balance

When a fifteen year old boy arrives at the SGC claiming to be Col. Jack O' Neill, the incredulous team must check out his story. They find that the boy’s DNA matches that of Jack’s. However, upon further investigation, and with the help of the Tok’ra Selmak, they learn this “young Jack” is just a mistaken part of an unsanctioned ongoing experiment by an Asgard hoping to solve the Asgard’s cloning replicative fading problem, which threatens the Asgard’s future existence.

Can the team rescue the real O’Neill from this arrant Asgard experiment, and can they find a way to cure the genetic errors in “young Jack,” which will soon cause his early demise?

Episode Quotes
Young Jack: I think the two of you are enjoying this a bit too much.
Sam: Well, you are cute.
Young Jack: (annoyed) That's "sir" to you.

Young Jack: Daniel! Would you tell them who I am?
Daniel: Okay. Love to. Who are you?

Daniel: Stranger things have happened.
Teal'c: Name but one.
Daniel: Well, there was this time he got really old, the time he became a cave man, the time we all swapped bodies...

Daniel: Jack's account sounds like a number of UFO abduction case files I've read.
Young Jack: This, you remember; my birthday, you forget.
Daniel: Looks like you'll have a lot more!

Daniel: Look, we're not here to take you to the Tok'ra. There may not be much time.
Young Jack: Never is, is there?
Daniel: Okay, well, uh--there's no easy way to tell you this, so...Sam's just gonna come right out and say it.

Young Jack: I don't plan on staying this way.
Sam: In the meantime, try enjoying this as much as we are...sir.

Jack: Carter, I should be irked currently, yes?

Jack: (to Loki) I'll tell you what's wrong. I just woke up, I haven't had coffee, let alone a pee in seven days and I find out you stole my ass and made a..."Mini Me"!

Young Jack: (to Thor) Seems he's been playing Dr. Moreau behind your back.
Jack: (hesitates) Yes, Dr. Moreau!

Young Jack: (to General Hammond) With all due respect sir, you're not the one who went to bed watching CNN and woke up as part of the MTV generation.

Young Jack: I realise it doesn't actually say 'Colonel' anywhere on my uniform, but it should.

Loki: I was stripped of my stature after I was caught performing unsanctioned experiments on humans.
Jack: What? You've got sanctioned ones?!

(As young O’Neill tries to prove he’s O’Neill)
Daniel: What's going on?
Young Jack: Daniel!
Daniel: Sounds like him. At least the loud, grating parts.

Janet: There is a tiny abnormality, but for all intents and purposes, it's him.
Daniel: Tiny abnormality, like the fact he's suddenly quite a few years younger than he's supposed to be?

Teal'c: Do you not experience increased health and vitality?
Young Jack: My vitality was just fine, thank you!
