Well, its over.
The 20th episode was maybe the best of all, great ideas, i was skeptical at first, when i read the spoilers but it turned out to be awesome.
Looking forward to the movies. |

Yeah, some were calling it "disappointing", but if they had any sense, they would have known this was more of a valentine to the fans than anything concrete as a finale, it was meant to symbolize Stargate's ability to continue, and how the characters can always adapt to the environment there stranded in. It was a tribute to all the comedic and serious "it didn't quite happen" style storylines involving time travel.
"Dominion" was a better finale, despite the cliffhanger, one could easily watch that and see a lot of things tied up, including the capture of B'all.
Given the show has had...what, THREE finales over the last three years, this was a perfect way to pretty much say "yeah, it's the last episode, see ya next season"

Hmm Dominion was nice, buy i liked this episode better.
The destruction of the Ori ships was something that i didnt expect.
Too bad about the Asgard, that means no Asgard in the movies and/or Atlantis and/or third series.
I wonder if Hermiod is still alive somewhere or he's gone too

I thought that "Unending" was fantastic. All the regulars were great and it had real emotional resonance. Great to finally see Thor again. The only disappointing aspect was the fact that RDA wasn't it and Jack wasn't even mentioned! |

Personally, I find seasons 9 and 10 to be awful [compared to the previous ones] but as a whole SG-1 rocks. The season finale titled 'Unending' was a great finale to the series and in my opinion it contained the very essence of Stargate SG-1. We've got humour, technical babble , emotions, humour:> and most importantly characters. Majority of shows doesn't get to finish like that because they are cancelled after the season airs [like magnificent Firefly for example].
All in all...Long Live SG-1!
PS. Dominion would suck if it was a finale to the series =] |

I agree this was a great finale. I guess I would have loved it more if I hadn’t known about the movies. I could the complete end, to the series and the characters, could have happen. But once they started noticeably aging, I kinda knew how the ending would go. |

The only problem I had with the finale was that there was no appearance of Richard Dean Anderson. For all that is holy, we had the Asgard, but no O'Neil?!? They named a ship after him. I don't see why they couldn't have added him and then Carter and O'Neil would have finally had their life together. Oh well, Stargate will definitely live on through the movies and Atlantis. Personally, I felt that Atlantis has been better than SG-1 the past couple of seasons. Gonna miss the show, but who can complain about 10 seasons. Most shows are lucky to last 2. |

I liked it, but not having RDA in it was so very wrong. It's like having meat and potatoes without the meat. Besides, imagine the possibilities if O'Neill had been stuck with them.
