Amanda Tapping (Samantha Carter) and Christopher Judge (Teal'c) are the only cast members to stay with the series throughout its entire run.
This is the longest running North American science fiction series and the second longest running science fiction series in television history. The longest is Doctor Who which ran for 26 seasons from 1963 to 1989.
There are only five episodes of the series which do not feature any characters from the original Stargate film: "Nightwalkers," "Insiders," "Uninvited," "Line In the Sand" and "The Road Not Taken."
