Okay, so it aired now. I liked the premier, but kind of hated the “flash back and forward” style it was edited in. I’m eagerly waiting the next episode.
I also like the various conflicts revolving around the confused command structure.
Sadly, I must give the opener a 7 out of 10, but I hope my trust in the franchise will be reaffirmed as I watch more episodes

Well, I was actually expecting this to be quite bad, but I was pleasantly surprised, quite an ok Pilot, it got me to want to check some more episodes out before making a decision.

Good point about expecting a bad SG episode/series. The clips I saw months earlier gave me a gloomy outlook on this. I too am looking forward to the future episodes to dispel me of this view.

Not a fan of the 'Last Starfighter' angle they put on the kid.
Overall, good pilot. I'll continue to watch.

On the whole, I was impressed. It's very different to SG-1 and Atlantis but enjoyable nonetheless, if a lot less fun. That said, I found it lacking somewhat lacking in one or two areas but I can see that the series has plenty of the potential and could well become a very good show in its own right. It hasn't really found its legs yet, which is hardly surprisingly really. The pilot wasn't as exciting or engaging as either Children of the Gods or Rising. Great to see Richard Dean Anderson (who sadly isn't looking his best) in Stargate again, not to mention Michael Shanks and Amanda Tapping. Bring on Christopher Judge. I loved Atlantis from the get go though. I was hoping that'd be the case with Universe too. Ah, well. It has at least 18 more episodes to win me over fully!
