	Matthew Albie, played by Matthew Perry Matthew Albie is an ex-writer for Studio 60 who was fired by Jack Rudolph after four years on the show. After gaining success with best friend Danny Tripp by way of a critically acclaimed movie, Matt and Danny are convinced by network executives to return to the show after Wes has an on-air break-down and is fired. Matt was previously involved with Harriet Hayes, one of the big three Studio 60 stars, but their relationship has since ended.
