Bio: Bizarro is the imperfect clone of Superman. He was created by Lex Luthor in an attempt to create an army of 'Supermen' for himself. He took a sample of Superman’s DNA from the blood he shed during his fight with a mechanical dinosaur and grew an array of clones. The first clone he released appeared to be an exact copy of Superman, although he possessed only bits of Superman’s memory, and as a result, his alter ego was unbeknownst to the clone. However, the clone started to break down, his skin became white, and his costume gained washed-out colors and a crocked S-shield. Due to his abnormal appearance Mercy dubbed him 'Bizarro' in a sarcastic remark. His state of mind became atrophied and confused, and whenever he tried to do good, he unintentionally caused trouble. He believed himself to be the real Superman, but when he saw the latter saving Lois, he realized he was the fake one and smilingly sacrificed himself, so that Superman could save Lois from the exploding lab in which he was created.
Afterwards, Bizarro wandered for months until he accidentally came upon Superman’s Fortress of Solitude. There, he accessed to Krypton’s memory module that mistook him for Superman and told him about
his heritage. Bizarro then embarked on an attempt to recreate Krypton in Metropolis, and then, due to his own Bizarro logic, he decided that it had to be destroyed, just as Krypton was. So, Bizarro tried to throw a missile at it, but was stopped by Superman, who took him to an inhabited planet where he could live in peace.
On another occasion, Mr. Mxyzptlk approached Bizarro and turned him against Superman. Mr. Mxyzptlk unleashed Bizarro amok on Metropolis, but in the end, he was sent back to his planet together with a de-powered Mxyzptlk, now forced to be Bizarro’s friend.
