Lex Luthor, voiced by Clancy Brown

Bio: Lex Luthor is Metropolis most powerful business man. He runs LexCorp, a technology based company and to the general public, Luthor is known as a benevolent philanthropist. However, all of his actions have second intentions, whether being a charity event or a selfless donation. Most of his wealth comes from gun smuggling and business with terrorists. During a demonstration of a new weapon system, Lex’s latest invention, the LEXO-SKEL SUIT 5000, is stoles by armed terrorists. It is revealed later that Luthor was in on the theft of the suit in exchange of a large sum of money. Luthor has been under Superman’s attentive watch ever since.

Luthor repeatedly tried to gain control over Superman, but after coming to the conclusion his efforts were futile, he decided it would be better to kill him. The first opportunity presented itself as the kryptonite. Thanks to a lucky chain of events, Luthor found himself in the possession of a stone that apparently had the ability to weaken Superman so much, that a longer exposure to it could even kill him.

Aware of the stone’s potential, and conscious that it wouldn’t be enough to kill Superman on its own, Luthor used it as a battery to power a robot made of an indestructible alloy called metallo. Then, he only needed a brain to insert into the robot. In order to do so, Luthor turned to John Corben, a conman who was involved in the LEXO Suit affair and was sent to prison by Superman. Using Corben’s hatred against the Man of Steel in his favor, Luthor infected Corben with a rare fatal disease, so that he would accepted the transplant, and turned him loose against Superman.

Convinced he could never control Superman, Luthor decided to create his own Man of Steel from a strand of Superman’s DNA. However, the cloning process was unstable and the clone ended up with a big mental retardation and skin discoloration. Once it became obvious the project was fruitless; he decided to disposed of Bizarro, the imperfect clone wittily named by Mercy, and all the clones in production.

Luthor is always accompanied by his body guard, Mercy Graves, the only person who seems to show any sort of emotion towards him. However, the feeling is not mutual. Luthor allows himself to make associations whenever needed, but he always means to be the most benefited party. From all of his various liaisons, the most dangerous was the partnership he made with Brainiac, because it not only bestowed Brainiac with control over every defense computer on the planet, albeit momentarily, but also resulted in long term repercussions.
